The unique Sebalog NP system is used for acoustic zone monitoring. It uses combined noise level and frequency
loggers with radio transmission for short term or permanent monitoring in pipeline networks. The Sebalog NP is perfectly suitable for use on all pipe materials. Reliable results even on plastic pipes are achieved by evaluation of noise level and frequency.
The Commander
The Commander is used to program the settings and to read the data from the Seba-Loggers. All of the necessary information is clearly displayed on its large display. If a logger recognised a leak, the Commander will immediately report this visually and acoustically when reading the data.
Programming via Radio
All of the important parameters, for the operation of the logger, can be programmed with a few simple clicks. Operating hours, recording time, number of measurements, time adjustment and much more can all be programmed via radio link.

The Seba-Logger
The Sebalog NP noise logger is the heart of the system. It is simply attached to pipe contact points (e.g. valve rods, hydrants), using a strong magnet. Due to its little height of only 110 mm – including the aerial – the logger fits into any small space. The Sebalog NP works continuously and needs no maintenance. The sound waves produced by a leak are recorded by the logger.
Bi-directional Radio Link
The logger can be programmed quickly and simply by radio link, without having to remove it from its position. All data can be transmitted this way. Bi-directional radio allows the sound level recorded by the loggers to be displayed on the Commander in real time, on the spot.
Easy and Efficient Use
Experience from field use for field use: The logger is turned on and off by simply turning it upside down. This feature allows reading the data and collecting the logger in one step.
Operational Data are always Up-To-Date
The internal clock of the logger is automatically synchronised with every radio contact. This ensures the measurement over the desired period.
Evaluation and documentation on a PC
The data can easily be analysed and stored using the professional software solution included – SebalogView. An interface cable is used to transfer the data from the Commander. All of the measurements are displayed clearly and can thus be evaluated quickly and easily. All graphics can be printed out.
Unique: The logger’s leak status is shown and documented in a digital pipe network diagram. The coloured differentiation in the display immediately provides an overview of the status of the pipe network being monitored. However, the software can do much more: Together with the optional Reader, the PC can be used instead of the Commander, making programming of the loggers even easier.
 
Analysis of the levels and frequencies
A reliable and clear statement on the condition of the leak is only possible with a simultaneous analysis of noise frequency and level. Measuring the frequency is a significant advantage on plastic pipes! In these pipes, the sound level attenuates very quickly, but the frequency can be used to provide a reliable diagnosis of a leak.
Continuously monitoring the network offers more reliability. Diagnosing leaks with the Sebalog NP system makes the job easier and saves time and money: fewer wrong leak locations, less waste of labour time, fewer misdigs.
